Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Mr. Roth has earned degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and Drexel University. He also graduated from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces and Army War College. He is a registered Professional Engineer and nationally certified Plant Engineer and practiced engineering at several large firms in New York and Philadelphia prior to joining the government. He has worked at Ft. Eustis, NASA Langley Research Center and at Aberdeen Proving Ground where he is currently the Deputy to the Technical Director, Aberdeen Test Center. Along with his duties at NDIA, he is on the Board of Directors and Executive Steering Committee of several other technical organizations. He is a past President of the Society of American Military Engineers and member of the NRA.

Joe Andrese

Joe Andrese recently retired as a Senior Operations Research Analyst for the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Survivability/Lethality Analysis Directorate at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Joe worked in the Research, Development. Test and Evaluation area on combat support, aviation, air defense, munitions and target acquisition systems that had gone through the acquisition management cycle prior to being accepted by the Department of the Army. He has an A.S. in General Engineering from Mercer Community College, a B.S. in Mathematics from West Virginia University Institute of Technology, and graduate courses from the University of Delaware.

Dick retired in May 2003 from Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland after completing a 43-year career in Test and Evaluation. For the last 18 years, he held positions as Director of Technical Support, Director of Engineering and Director of Firepower. He is a member of the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara for Artillerymen and has been a member of the Aberdeen Proving Ground Chapter of NDIA for twenty years and has served as Treasurer of the chapter for four years.
